Overview

Situated on the 2nd floor of MITSUKOSHI BGC along 8th Avenue in Taguig, Bijin Nabe is a shabu-shabu restaurant that brings a fresh take on modern Japanese dining in Metro Manila. The space blends contemporary style with inviting warmth, making it an ideal spot for families, couples, or groups seeking a relaxed yet refined meal.

Bijin Nabe’s standout feature is undoubtedly its collagen soup hot pot. This broth is rich and thick, offering deep umami flavors that truly elevate the shabu-shabu experience. Many diners have noted its satisfying, savory character along with a subtle sweetness in some variations. Beyond taste, the collagen soup promises benefits that intrigued regulars, with feedback highlighting its skin-enhancing qualities and a gentle effect on the system, though caution is advised for those managing hypertension.

The menu offers a broad selection tailored to varied preferences. Pork shoulder slices and quality beef provide the hearty meats that shabu-shabu aficionados expect. Seafood selections such as shrimp and salmon complement the fresh vegetables and chicken options, including a notable steamed chicken with leek oil and chicken balls. Besides hot pot essentials, Bijin Nabe features dishes like gyoza, carrot halwa, and fried rice, rounding out the meal with satisfying textures and flavors.

Service is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Several customers appreciate that the portions are generous, making it easy to share among groups. Though the hot pot set is not available at every branch, the option to order individual ingredients offers flexibility for diners to customize their meal.

While the ambiance is modern and well-suited for diverse gatherings, a minor inconvenience is the restroom location, which is outside the restaurant and requires a brief walk. However, this is offset by the convenient setting within a building bustling with mini stores and a food court, providing plenty of options before or after dining.

For those who enjoy Japanese cuisine with a contemporary twist, Bijin Nabe stands out as a destination that combines rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and a warm atmosphere. Whether you’re after the hearty collagen soup or an assortment of well-prepared meats and sides, it offers a memorable shabu-shabu experience in the heart of Metro Manila.

Great food, good service, nice ambiance. Kind of modern Japanese style restaurant good for family, couple or team dining/meetings. They have special collagen soup which we tried, thankfully we did not have any headaches. Just a gentle reminder to those who have hypertension to check your health always as the collagen soup is really good. Toilet is outside the restaurant, you’ll need to walk few meters though or about a minute to get there. Various mini stores at the ground floor and 2nd floor and food court for more food choices at the basement of the same building in Mitsukoshi.

I had a wonderful experience with the bijin nabe collagen soup. The broth was rich, thick, and incredibly appetising — full of flavour and very satisfying. The ingredients were fresh and enjoyable, with a good selection of meats and a wide range of vegetables to choose from, plus seafood options available. The menu also includes alternative choices like fried rice and fried chicken, which were tasty and complemented the meal well. Overall, a delicious and enjoyable dining experience that I would happily recommend.

Ordered the lunch set, I really love their chicken nanban! Lunch set was worth it since it comes with a lot of side dishes plus the soup. Was supposed to order their hotpot but the hotpot set is not available in this branch. You have to order each meat, vegetables, etc.

Wow wow wow! Probably one of my new favorite restaurants in Uptown! Chicken collagen was scrumptious I couldn’t get enough. The broth was incredible. We tried both the original version & the sweet one (forgot what its called) but I literally was salivating the next day thinking about my dinner meal. You have to try the two appetizers - I couldn’t get enough of the crispy chicken salad which was covered in almost like a cheesy egg slaw. The other appetizer was a boiled spicy chicken which was sooo good! The egg rice dish we kinda ordered last minute and took 15 mins to prepare. It easily could’ve fed 3 people. The portions are quite huge. We paid about 6K for this dinner. We could’ve quite easily only purchased half and we would’ve still been full. Will definitely be back in this resto & highly recommend it to friends!!

I recently dined alone at Bijin Nabe and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making the meal enjoyable. The food was excellent, particularly the high-quality meat and collagen soup! (First time for me) and Im glad I chose the original. While the price is a bit steep for a single diner, the overall experience was very pleasant, especially since I visited during non-peak hours. The ambiance of the place is also noteworthy, contributing to a relaxing dining atmosphere. I plan to return in the future and hope they extend their menu to include lunch sets beyond 2 PM, as I’d love to explore more affordable options when eating alone. Highly recommended!
